“Legal Eye carried out an independent AML Audit for us. The audit was more thorough and of more value to us than previous independent audits done by others. It was better at identifying where we may improve and at preparing us for a visit by the SRA. Over the last few months, I have been actioning the points raised in the audit. Legal Eye have reviewed our progress and issued us on 24th March 2022 with their AML badge confirming our commitment to compliance.

“The Legal Eye audit has been a catalyst for us to reinvent some processes. Moving forward this will hopefully become more a matter of maintenance than reinvention in subsequent years.

“I am happier now than when I commissioned the report from Legal Eye at the end of last year. I believe I have a better understanding of what is required of me as MLCO/MLRO than before which has been consolidated by my attendance at the Legal Eye Conference on what to expect from an SRA visit , which was also attended by senior figures from the SRA and legal practitioners relating their own experience of an SRA visit to the delegates.”
