A new Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS) standard is due to be launched next year following research carried out with members, stakeholders, and lenders.
One outcome of the changes will be that CQS will carry out on-site visits to firms; which is currently not the case.
Details are expected to be published in the new year and are expected to include changes to the current accreditation and re-accreditation assessments, along with the Core Practice Management Standards and Scheme Rules.
Regional roadshows are planned in order to support members in developing skills, learning about changes in the residential conveyancing sector and networking with other CQS members.
