Counter fraud specialist Kirstie Wilson has joined Legal Eye as a compliance adviser.
Kirstie has extensive experience identifying and combating fraud threats and is using all her knowledge and skill to bolster an already strong Legal Eye team.
Before joining our business, Kirstie worked as an associate at a top 50 law firm that specialised in defendant insurance claims. She held positions in all the firm’s key areas, including operational management, client management and technical supervision. Kirstie was also appointed Counter Fraud Quality Champion, ensuring the standard of excellence was met internally and for clients.
Kirstie is passionate about learning and improvement, and she has provided training, coaching and development packages at all levels – internally and externally – ensuring capabilities and compliance.
In her new role with Legal Eye, Kirstie draws on her experience to support clients by providing expert guidance, conducting in-depth file reviews, and ensuring firm-wide processes and procedures are compliant.
Commenting on her new role, Kirstie said: “Since joining Legal Eye, I have enjoyed carrying out independent file reviews both onsite and remotely to provide an objective view. These reviews allow us to help our clients meet their various obligations. But more than this, the reviews also enable us to identify risk and compliance gaps so they can be addressed. The practices that I have worked with understand the value of independent reviews. Not least because, by passing these to Legal Eye, it frees up valuable employees to concentrate on other matters.”
Legal Eye Managing Director Paul Saunders said: “Kirstie brings a wealth of experience to our business, and she is already using this to benefit our clients. Her knowledge of counter fraud and passion for finding gaps that may otherwise be missed is helping law firms, providers of legal services and other corporate industries to ensure compliance and optimise performance. And, because she understands the commercial realities faced by our clients, she does this pragmatically and cost-effectively.
