Legal Eye Director Jody Evans will be taking part in a panel discussion at the McCrum Consulting Annual Conference next month.
The event, being held on 8 May at the offices of insurance company Howdens in London, is entitled ‘Giving Law Firms the Inside Track’ and is intended for Managing Partners, CEOs, Partners, COLPs, Finance Directors and Team Leaders.
The programme for the day has been put together following the very successful running of this event in the North of England a few weeks ago.
Topics to be covered include:
- Insight in to how the banks see the legal sector from Sue Carter, Head of UK Head of Professional Services sector, Clydesdale Bank. Sue will talk about what banks are thinking when they look at a law firm, whether overdraft facilities are under scrutiny?; the effect of Brexit on the banks and what makes a bank pull the plug?
- Chris Harris – CEO, Lawyer Checker and The Practical Vision Network – will talk about how to protect your firm from cyber risk.
- Jenny Screech of Howden PII brokers will share her views on what PII insurers think when they look at a law firm.
There will also be presentations on how to retain your best talent within your firm; how to use financial KPIs to drive action and change; and insight from Simon McCrum about what he got right (and wrong) during his time as a Managing Partner.
All of the speakers, including Legal Eye’s Jody Evans, will participate in a panel session and be available during drinks after the conference.
