CQS has now published its new Core Practice Management Standards (CPMS).
The amended standards were announced in November last year and CQS has now confirmed that the deadline for implementing the changes is 1 May 2019.
CQS firms will need to review their policies and procedures to ensure compliance. Legal Eye’s associates are already helping firms to update and amend their risk management systems and associated documentation in readiness.
Further details are expected about the new desk-based assessments and on-site visit assessments in the coming weeks. This will represent a change to the way in which CQS assessments are carried out and will cover compliance with the new CPMS along with the National Conveyancing Protocol, which is already a requirement of CQS.
