A compliance regime can only be effective when all employees are engaged with the processes and procedures that are required to support good risk management.
In an ever changing regulatory legal landscape, ensuring that your compliance awareness and training remains up to date, relevant, and prioritised is a constant challenge for law firms, legal professionals and suppliers to the industry.
The difficulty remains in creating and maintaining an effective programme which incorporates new practice, legislation and best practice updates, and also provides records and evidence show effective understanding and delivery.
The operational delivery or hosting of the training then becomes the next hurdle…
Is the training going to be engaging, and tailored to the particular needs of the firms (where required) and to the types and complexities of roles within the organisation?
Will direct engagement between the presenter and the audience be possible, or encouraged?
Will there be engagement with the organisation ahead of the training delivery so the trainer understands the overall objectives and any considerations which will need to be incorporated?
What will the process be for understanding whether learning objectives have been met, and for tracking training completion?
From our experience – the best training and awareness programmes incorporate a variety of delivery methods, including webinars, online training modules, and face to face training.
In addition to the training modules provided through the Legal Eye Academy, our online compliance training platform, we offer a range of face-to-face risk training modules. These cover the breadth of the core legal compliance training modules, including (but not limited to):
- Anti Money Laundering
- The Bribery Act 2010
- Introduction to GDPR
- Conflict of Interest
- Equality & Diversity
- The Criminal Finances Act 2017.
We also offer training on certification and accreditation standards, best practice, and emerging areas of risk, including all of the above subjects, and the below (but not limited to):
- An introduction to Lexcel
- An introduction to cyber security
- Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) and managing the needs of vulnerable customers

These modules can also be adapted to incorporate the branding and procedures for a particular organisation, becoming bespoke modules tailored to the needs of the individual client.
Our bespoke face to face training service will begin with an initial ‘scoping’ call or meeting to build a framework for the training, and to share any real life examples or procedures to be included within the session/s. The trainer will then build the training modules, for review and approval, ahead of delivery on site. Following completion of the training, a questionnaire will be issued to track attendance and to monitor the achievement of agreed learning objectives. A report of these findings will be provided back to the organisation.
