Another CQS accredited firm has contacted Legal Eye confirming that CQS contacted them for additional information.
They requested documentation regarding the conveyancing Protocol and how the firm is following and complying with the Protocol.
Another area they are focusing on is the Core Practice Management Standards. Therefore they are asking for evidence of documents such as:
- Financial management processes
- Systems and processes for supervision
- File inactivity processes
- Process for monitoring/reviewing files.
Firms are being given approximately two weeks to provide this information, but it does depend on the reason why the Law Society have decided to carry out the review.
