I specialise in advising law firms and professional services businesses on marketing strategy and on implementing marketing and business development activities that deliver results.
What’s your background?
I have worked in the publishing, communications and legal markets for more than 20 years and hold a postgraduate diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
I was a Legal Director at a top 50 UK law firm and held a variety of senior marketing and business development roles at that firm.
Having started my career as an NCTJ-qualified journalist; I became an Editor for a national publishing group commissioning, researching and writing news and features across a range of business topics.
Over the last 15 years I have specialised in business development, sales and marketing in the legal market. I have led business development activity across communications, merger projects, new business, client relationship management, bids and proposals, internal communications, events and branding work.
I deliver consultancy services to a range of legal businesses combining strategic advice with hands-on delivery to ensure clients achieve their goals. I also deliver presentations, workshops and training.

How would you describe your approach to working with clients?
My clients tell me that I am easy to work with, enthusiastic and creative. They expect me to challenge their current thinking and to deliver results that make an impact on the success of their businesses. I always work collaboratively with clients and strive to really understand their challenges and goals.
What’s the most rewarding thing about your work?
Seeing clients succeed and being proud of their organisations and of their people.
If you weren’t doing your current role what would you have done instead?
I would have loved to have become a doctor but having started off as a journalist after leaving university I’d probably still be writing stories for a living!
