Nimesh Ganatra promoted to Head of Risk and Compliance at Legal Eye as teams grows for 2023

Former conveyancer and Legal Ombudsman investigator Nimesh Ganatra has been promoted to Head of Risk and Compliance at Legal Eye.

Nimesh’s significant experience in the sector made the promotion a natural development after having been with the Legal Eye team for over five years.

Before joining risk and compliance consultancy Legal Eye, Nimesh worked in a high-volume conveyancing department at one of the UK’s top 50 law firms before moving in to the firm’s in-house compliance team. It was here that he really got to grips with the challenges faced when dealing with complaints and general compliance in a busy fee earning environment.

Having developed an in-depth knowledge of how to help departments and the firm adopt and apply practical risk and compliance policies, procedures and practices, Nimesh then joined the Legal Ombudsman as a Legal Investigator and honed and further deepened his comprehension for the gaps and stumbling blocks that firms may face around their regulatory obligations.

Speaking about his promotion, Nimesh said;

“I am thrilled to be appointed as Legal Eye’s Head of Risk and Compliance. Having worked here for over five years, it’s fair to say that these are exciting times at Legal Eye.

“The regulatory landscape presents compelling and constant challenges in the legal sector and my expert risk and compliance colleagues do a great job of assisting law firms to navigate the compliance landscape.

I’m looking forward to helping the business go from strength to strength.”

Legal Eye Managing Director Paul Saunders said: “Nimesh’s promotion is testament to how much he brings to the team. With his unique skill set and knowledge from his time in practice and at the ombudsman, his in-depth and fully rounded understanding of the pressures solicitors face really does benefit both our clients and the rest of the team.”
